Black Food Coloring
Generally green colored food has been welcomed by most people as a type of healthy food. However, those fruits, vegetables and grains which has dark or black colors are actually more nutritious. The color of those food are usually from anthocyanins. It is a type of plant pigment which can help reduce the risk of diabetes, heart disease and cancer. So, the black color of those food are mainly coming from these high pigment content and they contain more antioxidants than light colored food.
Brown rice can bring great health benefits for your body because its shell contains a very high amount of vitamin e which can promote the functionality of the immune system of the human body. It can effectively protect cells from damages by free radicals. According to a study from the Louisiana State University Agricultural Center, black rice contains more anthocyanin antioxidants than blueberries.
Black sesame seeds can bring benefits to hair, blood, eyesight, liver, intestines, saliva and so on. They are rich in a number of nutrients including unsaturated fatty acids, vitamin e, calcium and other elements which can help reduce cholesterol and lower the risk of high blood pressure. They can also helpful to clear the free radicals from the body.

Grape skins contain a special type of antioxidant “resveratrol” which is helpful to soften blood vessels.
Like most black colored fruits, black currant is also rich in various nutrients. They are rich in vitamin c, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, potassium, anthocyanins and a variety of phenolic compounds. It has a great anti-aging and detoxification effect. Scientific studies showed that black currant is very effective in preventing anemia, edema, gout, arthritis, rheumatism, mouth and throat diseases such as coughs.
