Water chestnuts is a nutritious vegetable and frequent consumption can bring many benefits to the human body. They can either be eaten as the fruit in raw or cooked as vegetables into delicious dishes. The nutritious value of water chestnuts is considered as the highest among all root vegetables especially regarding the content of phosphorus. Phosphorus is an element which can promote growth and development of the cell and maintain the normal physiological functionality of the teeth and bones.
