How To Put Water Chestnuts In Can


During the step of raw materials selection, you should choose the water chestnuts free of diseases and injuries. The bulbs having more than 2cm in diameter should be rinsed with water first and then peeled with a knife. Then they should be put into clean water for soaking for color protection. The bulbs should be put into boiling water for 1-2 minutes and they should be cooled right away using cold water when taking out from the boiling water.


Then the bulbs should be put into cans or glass bottles which have already been disinfected. Then some distilled water having a temperature of 60~70℃ should be injected into the container immediately until it is full. The containers should be put Tank into a hot water pool at 90 degrees. The the center of the container can reach around 70 degrees. The container should be put in the pool for at least 10 minutes and they should be sealed immediately once taken out from the pool. The sealed cans be put into boiling water for sterilizing purposes for at least 10-15 minutes. The canning process is over.
