In cold winter, there will be less fruits to choose for daily diets. Some out of season fruits are best suitable for cold days when the diseases are easier to spread. According to nutritionists, the following fruits are suitable for consumption in winter.
Among all fruits suitable for winter, pear is one of the best options. It contains a large amount of nutrients including malic acid, citric acid, dextrose, fructose, calcium, phosphorus, iron, and a variety of vitamins. Pears can effectively facilitate the functionality of lung and nourish the gastrointestinal functions. They are most suitable for patients with fever and lung disorders in winter and spring. They are more appropriate for people suffering from cough, sore throat, and symptoms related to constipation. In addition, pears also help to lower the blood pressure. For patients with hypertension, dizziness, palpitations and tinnitus, regular consumption of pears may relieve their symptoms. Pears are rich in sugars and vitamins which can maintain functionality of liver and digestive organs. It is advised to take one pear for each day and the best time is 2-3 hours after meals. They can be taken directly or cooked with rock sugar.
Eating Kiwi fruits in the morning can help to treat constipation especially in autumn or winter when more people are suffering from constipation. The ideal time for consumption is 1-3 hours before or after meals.
Sugar cane is a type of fruit with a high moisture content which can account for up to 84% of the total weight. The property is more suitable for consumption in winter when moisturizing effects are required. Sugar cane is useful fro treatment of a variety of disorders like hypoglycemia, constipated, nausea and vomiting. The only thing you should pay attention to is that they are not suitable for over consumption before going to bed. In addition to eating directly after peeled, they can also be cut into 20~30cm slices and cook them in the pot for around 10 minutes.
