Side Effects of Passion Fruit


As a common herbal medicine, passion fruit has some common side effects if taken a large amount such as nausea etc. You should immediately stop taking them if the symptoms persist. The general usage of passion fruit is to treat anxiety, insomnia, pain and high blood pressure. Moreover, mild inflammation of skin can also be relieved via taking the passion fruit. As with other health products, you should consult your doctor before taking any herbal stuff as a medicine. Other side effects of this herb include confusion and some memory disorders. Also, some people may have some other disorders like stroke, dementia etc.


Moreover, arrhythmia and muscle contraction exception is some serious side effects of passion fruits. Abnormal heart rhythm will increase the risk of heart attack, stroke and high blood pressure. If you have heart palpitations, you should immediately stop taking this herb and inform your doctor as soon as possible. Abnormal muscle contraction can occur on any muscle in your body including the heart muscle. Many studies have confirmed that passion fruit is very useful for patients suffering from anxiety disorders. However, in case of the persistent and curbing anxiety, you need to go to hospital to do some assessment and treatment. Solely relying on herb medicine is not a good choice.

Also, another side effect of this herb is the drowsiness. In addition, it can enhance the effects of anticoagulants which can be helpful to dilute the blood. As a result, it is not recommended to take aspirin along with passion fruit unless it is advised by specialized doctors. Although passion fruit is an effective herb for many disorders, it still should be used with caution for safety concerns.
